Contribuiți la feedbackWife, child and I thought here was a late brunch, and did not have too many expectations due to the Google score, but we were pleasantly surprised. Service is great, very friendly staff including owner and waitress. I ordered the strawberry Belgium waffle and it was definitely one of the best waffles I've ever had no joke. Very fluffy and soft, but perfectly crispy on the outside. The strawberry glaze is made with fresh strawberries, so it is not excessively sweet. The whipped cream is homemade and tastes fantastic. Overall, I recommend the waffle. My wife had a veggie omelet with one side of pancake, and everything was very good. The pancakes were very fluffy and soft, but simply so tasteful. Stay here when we're in the area.
This place was great. Definitely the best place on Atlantic Avenue for breakfast. The manager is on the point and almost like a thought reader. He obviously knows that the restaurant industry and customer service 4 need such a place. You have a great waiting staff and the food is really good. If such a place is really good, you can naturally expect that the place is busy, but definitely worth waiting and it will not be so long!
I enjoyed my food a lot, but it was extremely busy and waiter was unattentive. Prices were fairly well $7-13 for a person, depending on what you got.
Despite the low rating and late opening time, we decided to give this place a try. Place is pretty packed. When we walked up there was a line of people waiting outside. We checked in and were told the wait would be about 10 mins.
I had high expectations for this place. The rating is 3.8 of 4 stars on Google. Here goes....the coffee was so bad that I could not digest a sip. It tasted like 3 day old warm cola. Hubby said his western omelet tasted like they used powdered eggs, home fries tasted like they were frozen potatoes, the pancakes were so tough, we needed a steak knife to cut through them....taste like a cheap, pre-made batter, country ham is naturally salty but, if you 're in the south you should know the method of lessening the sodium while keeping it tender instead of chewy. We were seated at a table under an air conditioner vent that was dripping due to condensation, they had no problem with seating us at the table beside us. A staff member stood in the chair at the table(with his dirty shoes)under that vent and wiped the vent dry with a towel then seated another family at that table without wiping down or removing the chair he stood in with his dirty shoes. A gentleman at a table across from us was plucking insects away from his food. I waved my hands to keep flies away from my coffee and food. There 's too many tables and booths in that space. Too many staff members were standing in the walk way that lead to the bathroom, my husband had to say excuse me to walk through them so he could reach the restroom. We left almost all of our food, paid the bill and left.
