De Rican At The Beach - Virginia Beach

Had a reservation for seven people and all appeared in the restaurant only to find out that they decided to go on holiday and not the reservations in opentable. nice that they were able to go on vacation, but it would have been nice for them to let the public know

Beautiful meal and great service in a fun environment. this was our second visit, this time with extra-urban guests who also enjoyed it. we're coming back!

The food was amazing! The mafongo was cooked to perfection! And the tostones were just like my mother in law use to make!

Having lived in Puerto Rico, I can say it is difficult to find good, authentic PR food on the mainland. De Rican is true, authentic Puerto Rican cuisine. From the cocktails (have the coconut mojito, trust me to the appetizers (the sorullos are aweome to main dishes (MONFONGO!!! , everything was delivered fresh and so tasty. The restaurant is tastefully decorated with all things PR and it truly gave me an at home feel. I recently relocated to Virginia Beach and De Rican is definitely going to be a regular spot for me to eat. Absolutely wonderful!
