Contribuiți la feedbackI had an unfortunate experience at Croakers 10 years ago and had given up on it. However, I am happy to report that with a new remodel and owners, this restaurant is now back on track. The renovation is really nice. I tried the special event menu, featuring creole/Mardi Gras cuisine with a prix fixe option paired with wine or beer. The courses were excellent and the pairings were great. With a new executive chef, the food quality has greatly improved and the staff is focused on providing quality service. Parking may be a bit challenging, but in good weather, nearby parking allows for a pleasant walk in the neighborhood. I highly recommend visiting Croakers for a night out. I will definitely be returning.
New menu. New owners. New chef (s) The only spot on shore drive with a rooftop lounge. Food is worth the stop!
I dined at this restaurant for the first time since it underwent renovations. The new decor is brighter and the addition of new tables gives the space a larger feel. My visit was before 6pm, so I was able to take advantage of their Happy Hour specials which included half-price appetizers, $13 dinner options, and discounts on drinks. I ordered calamari for appetizers, a seafood platter, and fish and chips. The portions of the platters were generous and the food was cooked perfectly, flavorful, and well seasoned. I'm usually not a fan of steak fries, but these were the best I've had in a while. The service was very attentive. Croakers has now become one of my favorite restaurants to dine at.
Great little neighborhood eat joint. The service and food were great! The menu options were very good. Good beer choices. Lots of appetizers. Cozy with good vibes! Coco was our waitress, she was new but did a great job and her coworkers made sure we were cool. Overall great experience!
The new menu at this restaurant is impressive. The familiar favorites from the same chef are still there, along with new and exciting dishes and drinks. I particularly enjoyed the classic Blue Lagoon cocktail. The mac and cheese was absolutely delicious, with large spiral noodles and an extra cheesy sauce. The fried shrimp were large butterfly shrimp that were cooked perfectly. The steamed clams were not gritty and had just the right amount of salt. And don't even get me started on their homemade corn muffins - they are amazing. I was so impressed that I ended up visiting twice in one week.
