I chose 6 oysters as my appetizer - 2 natural and then 1 of each different variety. They were all delicious!Grass fed eye fillet for a main with a side of greens and a salad. More than either of us could eat!Service was very attentive. Will certainly visit again on my next visit to Mackay

Had a lovely meal at Burp tonight for my daughter's birthday as a table of 8. Our waitress remembered our orders better than we did, the service was efficient and knowledgable, and the food was excellent. My husband thoroughly enjoyed his oysters, followed by the swordfish, as did everyone else with their meals. We had 3 small children with us and they were catered for with pizza, much to their delight.The meals weren't cheap of course, but they were quality.We will be back. Thank you.

This is the third time we have been to Burp just to be disappointed again... I am not one to write anything negative but this was prompted by my chef brother to do this. He is also a trainer in Hospitality!The 1st time the service was dismal and waited for drinks all night having to ask all the time, food was limited for price but some restaurants are like that! 2nd time a large number of us as it was a work do. 28 people... all the meals were mixed up and the wait for it to be fixed took 1 hour and.30 mins with some eating and some having to wait. The service for drinks was terrible and again we had to ask and ladies on our table were ordering the same drinks all afternoon and had to tell them over what their drinks where. Then with the wrong ones turning up.... we were very disappointed... a year later3rd time...We have had the latest dining experience and the service was great the young man was lovely and attentive.. we asked for the dessert and waited at least 30 mins maybe a little longer to be told that the choc dessert didn't turn out and they were trying again so we waited again another 30 mins to be told it didn't turn out again as the 1st year apprentice was doing it and wasn't able to manage it... they were helpful with another dessert which the birthday girl wasn't keen on and it wasn't charged but disappointed.I was in hospitality for years and understand that there are fails at times but three out of three.. is a little hard to swallow! May be Burp just isn't meant to be our restaurant of choice and I am not going to test it again as it is an expensive exercise to not be happy. Don't mind paying the money if it is worth it! Sorry but it is not!
