Fossmeyer's Bakery - Vincennes

I'm puzzled by the abundance of positive reviews for these doughnuts. While they aren't the worst I've ever tried, they come pretty close. All the frostings had a similar taste, regardless of what flavor they were supposed to be. The chocolate, in particular, didn't taste like chocolate at all! The doughnuts were dense and overly chewy. The only redeeming factor was the friendly service from the person who took our order, which is why I'm giving them 2 stars. Otherwise, the doughnuts themselves would receive a zero.

I visited this morning around 5 to 6 am and noticed a sign indicating it was drive-thru only. I decided to use the drive-thru, but I almost got stuck and ended up bottoming out my car. When I got to the window at 5 minutes to 6 am, there was a sign saying "Sold Out." Frustrated, I left. I've only been there a couple of times before, but honestly, the doughnuts aren't worth the hassle. I can't risk damaging my car for them—it's just not worth it!

I've started taking my daughter to get donuts here on Friday mornings to kick off our weekends on a sweet note. They are absolutely delicious! We do hope there will be a chocolate option available in the future. Keep up the fantastic work!

Running out of products 2-3 hours before closing is a sign of poor planning and management. The donuts are decent, but be prepared to arrive by 8 a.m. if you want to actually get any.
