Contribuiți la feedbackWe love india and found a restaurant serving delicious food for our souls. the lunch buffet is classic! but the owner has served us nan at the table. the menu card is not too extensive and a practical choice. only the tandoori was a...bit dry. but the sauces are very good. we'll try next time.
I recently ate at the Indian Paradise restaurant as a member of a group of 12. (The restaurant does a lot of take-away food and can only seat 12 in its small room. Our organiser had agreed on our behalf a fixed-price menu with the...restaurant beforehand (3 courses, bring your own drinks, tea or coffee extra although we did pay a small additional charge as part of the final reckoning. There are not many Indian restaurants in Switzerland. I am not an expert on Indian cuisine, and do not know much about Punjabi food, so this was an opportunity to try something new. The starters were a variety of fried vegetable dishes with some interesting sauces and whole peppers for the adventurous; nice and spicy although possibly some of the fried dishes could have been replaced by raw vegetables to make the best of the sauces. The main course was a choice of chicken or lamb curry. My wife had the chicken, I had the lamb; both well cooked, tasty and not too spicy. The sweet jeleby was a novelty which was all too easy to nibble. Along with the meal we were served copious quantities of chapati and delicious nan breads of various flavours. The welcome we received from the couple running the restaurant was very warm and friendly. I eat out a lot in Switzerland and normally reckon on about CHF50 for a meal so I cannot say if CHF32/head for a specialist Indian meal is good value or not. Again, I do not know enough about Indian food to compare this meal against other similar specialist restaurants. I enjoyed the lunch. None of our group left hungry; some took doggy bags away with them and some bought take-aways for the family meal that evening! Tripadvisor's categories do not differentiate between Average and Very Good. I would certainly rate the overall experience as GOOD.
