Sa Tanka - VILLASIMIUS

Sa Tanka is a beautiful stone restaurant just outside of town. The staff are very friendly and professional, service was very good. The food was outstanding, we actually ate here twice because we had to come back for the swordfish antipasto (pesce spada): small chunks of fish with onions in the most mouthwatering vinegarette. I would also highly recommend the pasta dumplings (culurgiones), they melt in your mouth and the cheese sauce is heavenly. However, all dishes and pizzas were amazing. They serve very local food and you will see many locals dining here. They have a great wine menu and the staff recommended a lovely bottle. The only criticism is the flood lighting outside, some softer lanterns and candles would make this wonderful place even more magical. It is really worth a visit (or 2).

Good restaurant with a nice courtyard. Great fish dishes (avoid the fried polpo, it is properly deep fried).

Had a lovely dinner here on the terrace. We ordered the cheese selection, culurgiones and the large seafood fry. All were delicious and generous portions.

The restaurant is very nice. Also the waiters! Unfortunately, the mashed potatoes seemed made from powder ... the main dishes, tuna and pesce spada, were tasteless and watery. Didn't feel any taste….im sorry, but i left with empty stomach. I’m sorry… but I’m not returning..even if I am always here, in Villasimius…tvb

Don't miss this place when you visit Villasimius. Great food and lovely service. They brought us extra appetizers and we left full and happy. I recommend the steak and the mushroom risotto. There's also a cute little puppy who comes to visit. Thr server was lovely. Quick and friendly service. Eat here!!
