Pizzeria La Cala Al Porto - VILLASIMIUS

We are sorry to read the bad reviews about la cala al porto, but we can say that we had a very good evening there! first, the restaurant is really big, I think there are 4 different dining rooms, and on. at least 200 people can eat there at the same time! So, yes, if you are in a hurry, it is probably not the best idea to eat in la cala in the high season! as well as we noticed that the staff makes a great job, they answered all our inquiries in time, and we were satisfied about the service that was friendly! we waited a little for order, but not so much, and the pasta courts came quickly! we started with spaghetti all the arselles that were really good! after we had her fritto misto, well cooked and delicious, and we had the tuna that was from this world, it was 100% tuna steak without fat, cut into 4 separate pieces, very well cooked (pink on the inside) and incredibly delicious! the wein recommended by the manager was also very good, ask him for a good advice! all in all we had a wonderful evening, the quality / price ratio is definitely good in la cala!!! make sure to book a table as they are incredibly busy during the high season!

We discovered that the restaurant was only under a new management when it arrived. the waiter who wore the face mask on his kinen was so unprofessional: cunning, but he kept telling us that he was a very experienced waiter from mailand. he thought he was. rude, but he was so irritating that we wanted to go without ordering something, but after we called a few other restaurant in the village that were all booked, we decided to go with some starters. we were quite concerned because it was mid august, the busiest time of the year in this tourist counter, but at 9.30 clock too many tables were available. when we got the starters, we understood why. eating was not fresh, the oktopus la cala style was dry and served on a bed of a very strange yellow, tasteless, thick cream. it was 15 euro. none of us eleven was happy with his food, so before we asked more money for the bill and went. we could not believe that what a few years ago was a very good, lively restaurant, turned into a low priced, low level without breathing on all and extremely bad food and service. so sad

Clean restaurant view of marina cheerful helpful staff mediocre food over priced and small portions scallops were tiny and over cooked pizza nice crispy base but lacking on toppings wine was local and waiter was knowledgeable about what...was on offer
