Contribuiți la feedbackMy wife had a salade Nicoise, and she is an expert in it. It was really as it should be. I had a foie de veau, calfs liver. Very well cooked, crusty on the outside, smooth inside. A very friendly service. Outstanding wine from the village (Chateau st Joseph)
Fun place for lunch and dinner very atmospheric old cave, very friendly owner with great character and who's wife is a splendid cook. Recommend the magret de canard.
We had a family dinner with 2 adults and 5 kids (18, 15, 7, and 2 x 5 years). They made a special plate with beef and french fries for the 3 young children. We had lam, ham with goat cheese, and local red and white wine. All was top quality. All in all, we paid € 150 for 7 people and top quality food. We were served by the owners, mother in the kitchen and farther servering. One of the best family restaurant that we have visit.
They have a Sunday special for 25 euros- for that price one can get really fabulous lunches in Provence which was unfortunately not the case. They served 4 starters- a terrine with tiny shrimp in mayonnaise which was OK, beignets of eggplant which were well-cooked but very bland, melon with Serrano ham which was very good, and slices of pissaladiere which were OK. The mains were rabbit (a bit dry) served with small ravioli which tasted awful in a boring sauce, and the same bad ravioli with a very mediocre daube sauce. All very generous portions, just not very good. Then came goat`s cheese in undercooked puff pastry. Desert was a passable creme caramel, and apple pie with undercooked dough which was a complete mush. Service was friendly if not very competent- we were the only 2 customers in the place for quite some time and he couldn`t remember who had ordered what. When we ordered one of the 3 types of red wines by the bottle that were on the menu, he came back empty handed as they had run out- you`d think they would know!
