Maxfields - Village of Potsdam

John was a great waiter! atmosphere and staff very friendly! Waited for our food for an hour. But it was a delicious planet. Absolutely back!

I heard Maxfields was a great restaurant to check when in Potsdam; the reports I heard are correct. We went on a Saturday night without a reservation, and they could take us. Unfortunately we couldn't get a table in their beautiful dining room, but that was on us. I would recommend calling forward for a table, next time we'll be sure. So we sat in the bar area, which was good. They offer a nice selection of drinks and their beer list is plentiful. Our server was polite and friendly and competent. Our ducks were delicious and served us quickly. We were very happy with our meals. Nothing bad to say about Maxfields, it's a charming little place. We would return without hesitation, absolutely recommend. Bon appetit!

Had the Ribeye Steak. They asked for no potato and offered to double the vegetables. Steak was just as I asked. Soup was super tasteful. Great service. Iced tea was a bit bitter for my taste. The outside seats above the river were beautiful. Full bar available. If you leave, you should be there for at least one hour.

We ordered 2 short rib sandwiches on Ciabatta roll with Arugula salad and two glasses monkey beech wine.

Beautiful vintage restaurant with a deck overlooking the river. Good food, homemade chips and pommes.
