Taco Beach - Village of Ocean Beach

This experience was so bad I didn’t even know it was possible. This restaurant is an embarrassment to all of fire Island, and all of New York. I didn’t know that food could get this horrid. I usually don’t use yelp, but I wanted to protect other New York citizens from wasting their hard earned money on this awful establishment. They’re pathetic excuse for a taco ruined my week. Please don’t try your luck with getting an over priced meal at this establishment. STAY FAR AWAY!

Do not order. Worst food I've ever had in my entire life. I do not like to use this word often. This food sucks. Waste of my life. This ruined my life. I do not wish this on my worst enemy. Stay far away.

I'll keep it short and simple. DO NOT order the queso, we had to hire a cleaning crew to come clean up the mess we left behind in the bathrooms. Other than that it was delicious, three stars!

Absolute worst experience I’ve had at any restaurant, ever. I am not a fancy person, but I expect basic things like cleanliness where there is food being served. I’ve been coming to Fire Island for years with my family and was absolutely shocked at how poorly this place was run. I almost don’t even want to write this , but I just would like others to avoid what we experienced here.First off, we came here on a weekend and it was crowded , which I understand is hard to keep up with cleaning , but the place is super small and it doesn’t take much to at least make sure the bathroom is somewhat tidy. I used the bathroom while waiting for a table and that alone turned my stomach. I’ve seen dive bars in the city and grungy places whose bathrooms are cleaner than that.I figured , you know what, I’ll still try and give this place a chance… give the benefit of the doubt. Bad idea…We then proceed to sit down and order a round of drinks 4 people at the table , and wait about 20 minutes … the drinks came out AFTER the food … not to mention the food was COLD. We spoke to the waitress and I honestly just felt bad for her because it wasn’t her fault , and said the “ ovens were broken”?? Which implies the food is Pre cooked and merely heated.. not the freshest..The chicken tacos I ordered were not only cold, but they had no flavor. I was afraid to it because I thought I may get food poisoning from it. To top it all off, the glass of wine I ordered was rancid , which does happen to wine. Once again, that is understandable. However , when Ispoke to the bartender, he didn’t even say sorry , or offer to open a new bottle of wine, or anything. My stomach was so turned off that I wound up eating nothing, and that is saying a lot.I have literally never experienced anything like this and on top of it they never even apologized. An absolutely horrible experience and just stay away.

Overpriced. Menu did not specify that vegetables are fried in flour and therefore contained gluten.
