Matthew's Seafood House

Great place with deck seats. We always coming in big groups and they managing to seat us all together with no problems. Food is served quickly, unfortunately the menu doesn’t offer wide selection of dishes but everyone can find something to their taste

I absolutely love Matthew's Seafood. Fresh food, beautiful atmosphere, great staff. Parking: No cars to the island. Only frequent Ferry rides. We went on a Tuesday, and there was easy, secure parking lots at Fire Island Ferry Station. Absolutely, no issues.

Always a great place to have good drinks and food on Fire island. Amazing view and great staff. Thanks Brenden our server, he was great!

First day, arrived and went to Mathews for a sunset drink, then went back later the folliwing wek and had the fresh shucked clams and fried calamari. delicious. Mathews is a great local restaurant and seafood market at the end of the town. Great bar and service. Friendly to the 10th degrees. views of the bay and boats are relaxing.

The view is nice but the service was subpar. The place was empty yet the wait staff only checked on us once at most. Our first round of drinks took forever and the second round was entirely forgotten as well as the napkins we requested. The waitress only remembered our drinks when we asked for the check which we canceled at the point and yet the drinks were still on our tab. The icing on the cake, was the auto gratuity of 20% which was undeserved in my opinion. We were a party of five including 2 children, the auto gratuity was unwarranted. Overall, I would NOT recommend this place.
