The menu is diverse—neither strictly French nor American, whatever that might mean—always featuring something intriguing, whether it's on the main menu or in the specials. The Steak au Poivre is a standout dish, one of the best in the area. They also offer an impressive selection of wines by the glass, as well as a wide range of cheeses. Matt Hudson, the owner, doubles as the pastry chef, and his desserts are equally exceptional. Full disclosure: I've known the Hudson family for nearly 40 years. However, my praise for Hudson House is genuine; it’s one of our *occasion restaurants* reserved for special celebrations, just because we want to indulge in a wonderful meal. I particularly enjoy sitting at the bar during Happy Hour to savor the oysters offered between 5 and 7 p.m.—they're a real treat!

One of my favorite restaurants in the world! I've traveled across the country and internationally, and this place is truly exceptional. The dining experience is consistently remarkable. The staff is outstanding, but it's the food that keeps us coming back. And let's not forget about the owner, Matt Hudson's desserts—they're simply the best! I'm incredibly happy to live in Nyack and to have the Hudson House as part of my community.

Not that my opinion should be important, but Matt's sticky toffee cake is spectacular. Very recommended. What a talented baker!

Had dinner there just now, and let me say we had a wonderful experience!! Our server James was very knowledgeable, courteous, and welcoming .. I strongly recommend trying it . We live an hour away and a half away, and will definitely be coming back. If you love good food, atmosphere, and service than this is the place to check out..
