Very nice and warm service. Cockles on the display are still live and they taste super good when cooked. Cosy atmosphere. A Lovely local Portuguese restaurant.

We had a lovely lunch at “O Praia” today. We spent sometime searching Monte Gordo for a nice little restaurant/snack bar serving traditional Portuguese fare and found it quite difficult to find what we were looking for as many places were closed, which we found surprising on a Friday! We were delighted with this place run by a husband and wife team. I had delicious grilled dourada, which was beautifully cooked and very fresh and my other half had the grilled turkey steak which was also very nice. And the figue cake was excellent! Service was also very efficient and friendly. We will go straight to this place the next time we are in MG. Obrigado!

Tradional portuguese restaurant and bar. Great find. Had wonderful well served conquillos here. Highly recommend. Priced good . Small place so some food dishes may run out.
