Fortunately the four of us have a sense of humour. We arrived for lunch having reserved a table in advance. My husband particularly wanted to have Perceves. The waitress informed us that they wouldn't have any until the next day. We asked if they had any fish, no they didn't have any fish, The gents ordered Pork Chops and the ladies fried Shrimp. The waitress returned to the table to inform us that they only had one serving of Pork Chops. It seemed that the only other dish available was Baby squid. This was duly ordered. At this point we thought that this establishment could give Fawlty Towers a run for its money. The dishes were adequate, but poorly cooked. The chips were soaked in grease. Perhaps the worse part of this experience were the toilets. The ladies toilet door would not shut properly, it stank of urine and there was no toilet seat, The gents reported the same condition for the men's toilets. They were a health hazard. As we are all alive today it seems that the kitchen hygiene was not a problem,

I have dinner with a group of 14 people. It was the only restaurant that accepted to book our dinner and closed the room for us. We were lucky because the cooker and her assistant were very lovely and provide us a wonderful experience allowing us to taste all the seafood specialities of Algarve. Although the decoration and confort of the room are not extraordinary, the quality of the food is excellent.

We visited here after reading the reviews on trip advisor and expected a traditional Portuguese Restaurant serving wonderful food. How disappointed we were. The menu was very limited with only two meat choices. Half the menu had to be preordered. We asked for a glass of wine and a large beer. They only serve wine by the bottle and small bottle beers. I chose the prawns which had not seen water for a very long time and were clearly frozen . They came in a greasy sauce with no side salad, vegeables,chips or potatoes. My husband chose the pork chop and although the portion was reasonable the chips were swimming in grease. The toilets had a pungent smell and no toilet seats. Would not recommend this place, very disappointed.
