Hoang Kim - Vientiane

Very bad hotel, prices are more expensive than same kind of guesthouse. And the receptionist charged us a different rate than the normal price we can see in Booking. She didn't want to listen our explanation No hot water in shower TV not working Dirty bed

There was too noisy at night time and I could feel smoke smell even though smoking was forbidden. The worst experience was their Bus booking service to go to thailand. I booked the super VIP sleeping bus to go to bangkok from vientiane which was the highest cost, but it was just normal bus that I could get. I had to get on the normal cheap bus even 12hours more to go to Bangkok with “super VIP sleeping bus” fee. It was really sucks.

Good location, but lack of facilities. Reasonable price for tourists. About a kilometer to the old quarter and Mekhong river

If you are heading to Vientiane for a quick stay and looking for a budget hotel then I would recommend Hoang Kim Hotel. Now, don't expect 5 star accommodations at the price of these rooms. Frankly, I was expecting the worst but it turned out great. The staff are incredibly kind, Mr. Le Quang Tinh , which I believe is the proprietor, was the best. Always making sure things were okay and helpful when needing directions or information. The rooms are very basic and clean, little dated and needing a bit of maintenance, but comfortable. The Wi-Fi speed is great and very reliable. No coffee or hot water kettle. You can do down to the lobby to get these. I was in town for a very short stay and this was just perfect for that. The price is right, the staff were great and I will stay again on my next short visit to Vientiane.
