The vibe of Elie's tent is very similar to some time I spent in the Middle East in the various desert tents; beautiful decor with low lying comfy couches and stunning rugs. Then comes the food, deliciously satisfying and authentic Lebanese food, and to top it off, Elie is such a knowledgeable and friendly man. Really enjoyed the meal, and the price point was perfect!
The couple (who I suppose are the owners) are incredibly warm and very hospitable. Definitely a plus for me because good customer service goes a long way. The food tastes authentic and it was nice trying a different cuisine for a change. We had the barbecue platter- meat was tender and full of flavour. The kibbeh kraas was packed with ingredients and spices and lastly the shawarma dajaj reminded me of what I would have in a chicken kebab.
Every time I visit, they have provided very tasty and quality Lebanese food. They have very good vegetarian options and all of them taste super good. The owners are very nice and offer pleasing customer service. The food is worth the penny you spend and the quantities are quite filling. Saturday nights they have belly dancing too!
Hmmm! Decor a bit dated. Customer service a bit dodgy. The BBQ platter was not impressive. My kebabs looked and tasted days old!! My partner was equally not impressed with his meal. On a plus the hummus and falafel's were great. I won't be going back :(
We were the only patrons dining in when we visited. The owner was wearing uggs and she cooked and served the food. Her grandkids were there watching TV. It had a very homely vibe. We ordered the barbecue platter as it came with a good selection for $30: kafta, lamb and chicken shish kebab, hummus, mouttabal, tabouleh and pita. We also ordered the fatiyir, sambousik, chips and two fresh Lebanese lemonades. Maybe we caught them on a bad night but the food wasn't very impressive. The meat resembled leftovers and was quite tough, chips weren't very crispy, bread was cold. The falafels were amazing though. If I come back I would just order a bunch of those crunchy garlicky herby balls of goodness! The sambousik (fried pastry with ground lamb) was better than the fatiyir (baked pastry with spinach and feta). Tad dry, dipping sauce would've been good. The lemonades sounded delicious, it was meant to be infused with rose water and orange blossom water but tasted like acetone smells. Very odd. Got 25% off though with the Entertainment Card.
