Huvar's Artisan Market - Victoria

My waitress was so sweet and very attentive <3 best sandwich I would have ever eaten, would eat here definitiw again if I was in victorious.

Here is a good lunch! we were in good hands with our waiter steven. my friend and I both enjoyed the chicken fried steak special. I also tried her spicy pumpkin soup, and while it was pretty good, I wish she did it as curried pumpkin, as it had a very strong curry taste. overall, great food and we will definitely find the next time I find myself in victoria!

The lunch was good and filled. Kettle chips were surprisingly good. suppe/ sandwich meal was good. the prices were very reasonable. our server was attentive and seemed to know the appreciation to keep customers on their orders.

As a stranger and the chicken fried steak ordered. it was crispy and delicious. the carrots and the dinners were wonderfully rolling with the steak. the area was modern and clean. also private toilets were clean. the mood in the restaurant was very good.

After moving back to Victoria I was looking forward to eating at Huvar?s again! The staff seemed overwhelmed. I had to ask for a server to come to my table. The food took forever to come. When it did, the ?kettle? chips that were supposed to come with my sandwich were obviously Lay?s potato chips. The cheese in my ham and Swiss sandwich was processed American cheese. They also did not have bread pudding which was still on the menu and what I was most looking forward to eating. The waitress said the chef simply didn?t have time to make it. Super disappointed Huvar?s! Not sure what?s happened here but definitely not the restaurant I remember!
