The Fish Store at Fisherman's Wharf

Traveling can be a bore when it comes to gluten-free dining. Trying to find a place that understand cross-contamination, etc., can make eating more work than pleasure, but not so with The Fish Store. It was the first time I had Fish 'n Chips in a long time, and this was more than Capt. D's could offer! Fresh caught fish, my choice, and it was amazing! Would love to return to Victoria so I could try their other options ;)

We started our vacation in Fisherman' wharf looking for a great feast of fresh fish n chips. At the Fish store we were fortunate to be able to have our choice of fish prepared in our choice of dish from tacos, with chips, or fishwich. We decided to try the sturgeon and were not disappointed, cooked to perfection, served in a pleasing way, and in a reasonable amount of time. Needless to say we visited twice more in the next two days and again had sturgeon, of course! Hands down the all round BEST fish I have eaten anywhere!!! Already drooling with thoughts of booking the next trip here when I am in Victoria!!

Yum! We had two different kinds of fish and chips, cod and halibut. Both were delicious! We also got clams because they looked so good - and they were! We took our food to the place a few booths over that served beer and ate there. Perfect!

As a family of four fish lovers we ordered a few different things: - spicy halibut malu - 3 salmon chowder- 3 different kinds of tacos - Fish & Chips In total we spent under $60 and all had delicious food, so I call this a WIN. Very casual, al fresco dining, possibly sharing tables with others, and you'll be exposed to the elements (no umbrellas etc), so be prepared for that, and you'll have a fantastic meal here.

Came to the fisherman's wharf for the first time and The Fish Store seems to have the most customers of all the the restaurants and so we decided to try. My hubby is not too crazy over sea food but he agrees that what The Fish store sells are fresh. (I forgot what we ordered but it was really good)
