Their menu, displayed on four colorful and cluttered chalkboards, was quite difficult to read and a bit confusing. Eventually, we figured it out and opted for simple floats. I ordered an orange float while Marla chose chocolate. It should have been straightforward, but it took quite a long time for our orders to be prepared. There appeared to be four staff members, yet none were attending to the front area. They seemed focused on cleaning, which is commendable, but it turned the place from potentially vibrant to quite dull and routine. Despite this, we would consider returning because the floats were tasty, and it’s enjoyable to people-watch at this bustling location.
The service meets expectations, and the atmosphere resembles a charming, vintage soda shop, which is exactly what the name suggests. While the prices are slightly above average, they are still reasonable. I would definitely recommend this place!
I like it a lot. I wouldn't get regular ice cream because its island farms and can be bought at any grocer, but the specialty treats are yummy and fun! Great decor and good service.
We'll Be Back!. This shop was wonderful! I stopped in with my family for dinner and dessert. We ordered two ham and cheese paninis, a Pink Lady, a Muddy Sneaker, a Chocolate Mint Cow, and a London Fog. I got a Pink Lady made of blended vanilla ice cream, pink creme soda, and mountain dew all mixed in a bubbly concoction with seltzer. The lady asked me if I wanted whipped cream and of course! It was just right! She told me it was new and made up just the other day, but that they're selling fast. My wife got a Muddy Sneaker that had pecans on the bottom with caramel then chocolate ice cream and vanilla icecream with more pecans and caramel and marshmallow topping! It even looked like a sneaker with the whipped cream in a halo shape around the boat dish. I've never seen such a beautiful sundae. There was just enough topping, but not too much to the point where it is messy. My son wanted a chocolate cow, and I thought he would hate it and it sounded awful, but one of the ladies recommended a drop of mint, so, he got it and it was amazing! I never knew a chocolate mint soda was possible, or that it could taste so good. My daughter loved her London Fog and she gets them everywhere, but she said that this was the best London Fog she had ever had, and it looked like the best because the foam looked perfectly smooth! The young ladies there made all of it as quickly as they could while they were also making other orders and they offered us water while we waited for our paninis. The paninis were crisp and made with a good tasting cibatta bread. I was amazed at how good all of it was coming into a soda shoppe. I didn't expect the best, but the people there were so nice and made our food so good! Next time we come to Victoria, we'll definitely come here!
I love everything on their selection boards. Love this place!
