Royal Roads Cafe - Victoria

We have been to this restaurant many times over the years, it was a 'go to spot ' for our family. The last 3 times here we have been deeply disappointment in the service, and especially the food. Last week we ordered the special 'greek wrap ' with chicken and a kids pasta. It took 30 minutes 12:45 1:15 pm) to get our meal, which was difficult as it used to be QUICK SERVICE. What made the wrap 'Greek '? Regular salad, black olives and feta dressing, which my wrap did not have. The chicken nuggets tasted freezer burnt. They were just cheap, as we were served some fresh and decided the spongy meat was just a cheap alternative to real chicken pieces. Staff was very attentive after I complained about the chicken, but the damage was already done! We have decided to make Jasmines back towards Colwood to be our new 'go to spot. ' Sad, but true, bye bye RR.

The bacon seemed to be deep-fried, that's a big no in my husband's book. Service was very fast and friendly.

We were looking for a nice place for a cheap meal. We almost didn't stop because it doesn't look like it was open, but a closer look showed us that it was. It's a simple diner... just what we were looking for! The service was quick and very friendly and talked about reasonable prices. This is probably the most expensive meal we had so far in our 2 months journey! The food was delicious and we left very happy...we wished we were still close as I would like to go again!!!

Sunday morning breakfast for three seniors. There because of the positive reviews on Trip Advisor. An older café. Very busy. Eat in a house style. Friendly couple serves all.

Food service super! Especially the Monte Cristo. With real turkey! Emily is an excellent cook! Let me know.
