The ice cream team here is exceptionally friendly, which made for a delightful experience. Their shakes and malts were just what I needed. The unique tchotchkes add a special touch, making this a memorable stop and a great place to find souvenir gifts for those hard-to-shop-for people.

My mom summed up our experience with a simple, "that was a little rough," after finishing her Purple Peaks shake, which is the emporium’s huckleberry Oreo creation. While the Oreo flavor was delightful, the huckleberries were either unripe and sour or tasted rotten and fermented. This was particularly disappointing since huckleberry season is just wrapping up in Teton Valley, so fresh berries should have been readily available. Each sip started off with the sweet taste of Oreo, but biting into a huckleberry turned our mouths bitter. We ended up leaving about a quarter cup of huckleberries at the bottom of our cups because they were simply inedible. Based on the Oreo flavor, I have a feeling their other shakes might be quite good, and they do offer nice, large straws that make the shakes easy to enjoy.

What an amazing and eclectic place this is! You might visit for a huckleberry shake (which Ronald Reagan once enjoyed here) but you’ll leave with fly fishing gear, a frisbee, and a new coffee cup. It’s truly one of the most unique stores I’ve ever been to, and I say that in the best way possible! The staff was friendly and accommodating, even offering free ice cream for her birthday. Great spot. Wonderful people.

Perfect place to stop and enjoy a shake or ice cream with a very friendly staff. We did the tourist thing and tried there huckleberry shake and we were not disappointed. There are gifts and things to purchase as well. I would absolutely recommend this place to anyone traveling and wanting to try anything local. This place seems to be very popular so you may have to wait but it?s worth the wait.
