Rifugio Sfilzi - VICO DEL GARGANO

Nice forest location, friendly service, traditional food, but!!! I rarely experienced a slower and less organized service. It took us a while to get some food, they forgot some drinks and to serve the coffee at the end. We were waiting more than 30 mins for the bill, at the end I paid at the bar and it still took another. 20 mins to get it done. What’s the root cause? They are totally unorganized in their process. One picks up sour request, gets distracted by something else, forgets to tell the colleague etc. I could and would love to optimize their service by observing for 4 hours and reorganizing their processes. They could serve double the number of guests and would have happy customers.

We enjoyed a really lovely lunch at Rifugio Sfilzi. Gorgeous location within Foresta Umbra. We enjoyed a gorgeous antipasti in the sun surrounded by trees! Really friendly, welcoming staff who were really helpful and accommodating to our poor Italian!

We were staying for a week in Vieste and went to the Foresta Umbra for a walk. What a beautiful place! Our B&B had advised going to Rifugio Sfilzi for a meal and it was fantastic. We had the menu where lots of local dishes are presented and it was all local, wonderful food. It is the most magical place. Loved it.

Non c'è da meravigliarsi! corsi abbondanti, tipici e molto avidi. siamo ociti pieni è molto soddisfatto. bel posto immerso nella natura circondato da asini e daini. sedili interni ed esterni cani ben accettati. molto consigliato! prezzi onesti!
