Brandy's - Vicksburg

LOVED IT! The catfish was fried perfectly and the shrimp creole with it was delicious, and I’m from Louisiana where we think ours is the best in the world! You have selections of vegetables to go with your entree or you can order sandwiches, etc. Friendly staff, quick service and just a fun place. Not much to look at but go for the food, not the ambiance.

Would not recommend. Went out of our way for lunch. Nostalgic yes. Ordered burgers. Waited while cooks looked on their un sanitary cell phones, got money out of their pockets and counted, then continued to fix my hamburger. Lights need replacing. Ceiling tiles falling out. As friendly as snakes. Burger was real meat. No pasted bun. Cold. Hand cut (were their hand clean? Fries we’re delish.

It doesn'y look likr much from the outside. As a matter of fact it doesn't look like much from the inside but it has really good food. My grilled catfish over rice and covered wit crawfish etoufee was delightful. My wife's fried catfish basket was very good and they may have the best french fries on the planet. The only drawback was that the waitresses did not wear masks although the cooks did.

We were passing through Vicksburg and decided to exit the interstate and make the drive to Klondyke because the reviews described it as a hole in the wall with great food. It looked sketchy when we drove up, but we are thankful that we ventured in. I had fried catfish with creole sauce; my husband had fried chicken, and my daughter had a burger. It was all delicious!! The sides reminded me of my grandmother’s home cooking. So yummy!

Really good onion rings! Three of us got the catfish basket. (You also have fish and shrimps. The onion rings and loaded potato were good. Avoid seafood in this place. Had thought the fish were as close to the catfish farms as this place.
