Pasticceria Pasticci'amo - Vicenza

Unfortunately below expectations. I purchased a braid hoping it would be as good as with previous managements. Overcooked (burnt in some places) and rather dry. The jam glaze was completely missing.

I went there today for the first time on the recommendation of someone. I go in and order a coffee and a pastry. A lady comes in after me and asks for 4 cream zeppole to take away. So I ask if he can prepare 4 for me to take away before they all sold out (there were only a few in the window). The girl begins to grumble that we should reserve them because if everyone takes them without ordering her, the pastry chef will have to continue frying them! So, incredulous at the answer, given that she hadn't told the other lady, I replied that if it's a problem I'll only take 2. Shortly afterwards the pastry chef comes out (or at least I think) and exclaims annoyed: these empty trays of zeppole are beautiful ! But what problems do you have? Do you make them to sell or to keep in the shop window? Or write a nice “by reservation only” sign! And for the record, in the end I spent €14 on 4 zeppole. Even though I was tempted to leave them there. I had to order a cake but given the treatment I received I will go elsewhere. I hope I've come across this on a bad day, but I advise you to welcome customers in a more polite way!

I absolutely recommend this pastry shop. I purchased a cake that more than met my expectations, the staff and the owner were very kind and extremely helpful, making exactly the cake I wanted which, in addition to being beautiful, was really delicious!
