Pizzeria Athos - VIAREGGIO

In the promenade by the pier, with casual tables outside, kind of self service, order pizza and drinks and when the pizza is ready you pick a free table and u eat your pizza there straight from the tray. Very casual, nice view of the canal, the best oven pizza in town. Their pizza is not cheap. At certain times there can be a long line to order.

I have lived in Viareggio for more than 30 years and I still belive that it' s still the best pizza in Viareggio

I don 't know any other place where pizza is cooked as they do. XL backing tins directly on the embers. Classic 'margherita ' is their star. If you 're lucky you can also taste a chickpeas pizza, just don 't miss it. You serve yourself, tables are available, you 'll eat with your fingers!
