La Barca - VIAREGGIO

La barca is a restaurant close to the beach in Viareggio. They are well known for their seafood dishes as we have been told. We went there with 5 persons and we got a nice table. The waiters were very nice and friendly and they spoke English. After ordering some wine and water we received a very nice small dish to get the taste going. The menu has a variety of several dishes and not too big. The waiter explained everything on the menu and he was very kind. When we received our first dish, all at the same time, we couldn't wait to start eating. The antipasti was great with a lot of variety and tastes. The main courses were fantastic, fresh seafood, good portions, great service and great taste! We went there 4 times more during our holiday and tried different dishes, even the ones which are not standard on the menu. All of the dishes were great, especially the gnocchi and the spaghetti with vongole. If you ever go to Viareggio, please stop by at La Barca, true taste and great service.

When you find a restaurant in a touristic town which is usually frequented by locals, that means that the place is right. Fish dishes here are good and suggestions from the staff are to be considered. Location is not exceptional yet, just on the street

Ristorante molto bello ,i camerieri sono gentili.Il servizio e' molto ottimo:ti portano dopo poco tempo che ordini ti arriva il cibo,ed e' veramente buono.Ambiente molto accogliente,spazio abbastanza grande e in estate si puo mangiare fuori, poi ci sono dei funghi che fanno un po caldo (ma e' un complimento) e non ho piu' niente da dire, io se fossi in voi ci riandrei altre milioni e milione di volte.ciaoooo

Super adatto per un pranzo domenicale a due passi dal mare!
