We patiently waited to place our order as the wait staff dealt with the busy crowd. We ordered one croque madam and one croque monsieur sandwich. Both were delicious. No one spoke English but we managed to order and enjoy our meal.
We very very disappointed by the attitude taken by the staff here. My wife visited the day before to make a reservation for the following day. all done in French, the following day when we arrived we were shown to a non reserved table, which was to small for the four of us and my granddaughter. Although there was a table for 5 reserved at the front of the restaurant. My son in law did heard a comment about these British people. I am throughly disappointed by this attitude, As I would hate to think that the French would get this reception when visiting Scotland. I and my family have stayed in Asquins on several occasions and have always be welcomed. With the fact that this restaurant is in a tourist location, you would think that all nationalities would be welcome.
I had a short but good time with a coffee.
I'm advising, sore meal, salmon to the top,
Good placement, Careful Cuisikier. warm welcome
