I ended up holding it because the toilet was filthy, there was trash on the floor (which I later learned is the norm), and the sink was wet. It was simply gross. Secondly, the drinks. The items are rarely stocked, and the sweet tea has a strange smell and taste. There's also no water dispenser, so you have to get it from the tap in either the kitchen or the bathroom. Now, regarding some of the food: the fried items consistently taste like the oil needs changing, and their temperature is often off. The donuts can be hit or miss, as can the pizza, which I can confirm after working there—it’s definitely inconsistent. As for my experience as an employee, let me explain why I left. I was hired as a part-time kitchen staff member from midnight to 4 a.m. Unfortunately, corporate, district, management, and even HR seem indifferent about the place and its employees. For $13.50 an hour, I was often left alone in a locked store from midnight until 5 a.m. before I even finished my first week. The cashier scheduled for 4:45 a.m. was frequently late, and management never showed up until 7 a.m. This happened multiple times during my two months of employment, and management was absent each time. Now I understand why the sweet tea tastes strange—it’s unpredictable whether it’s fresh or changed. I won’t drink from the soda fountain again either; I’ve literally seen mold in the nozzles. They only have a hot water dispenser, and the coolers are almost never stocked because employees are too busy or simply don’t care. The labels in the cooler also need updating. While working in the kitchen, I encountered roaches and other bugs. Once, I even took a picture of an unidentified bug I saw. I had to change the flour for the pizza dough because dead flies were often found in it when I arrived for my shift. The women's bathroom situation is alarming—I’ve seen blood on the toilet and shoe prints on the seat. I started bringing wipes to clean it before using it. I also witnessed the overnight cashier take soiled pants from the men's bathroom on two separate occasions. To add to the chaos, I was even threatened by a police officer while on duty simply because we bumped into each other as I exited the kitchen. While I could go on, I hope this conveys my disappointment. This is, without a doubt, the worst place I’ve ever worked and visited as a customer. Lastly, as a kitchen employee, I was tasked with making five pizzas an hour, handling online and walk-up orders, stocking a cooler door, sweeping, mopping, washing dishes, and preparing deli items and donuts—all while managing conflicting instructions from different managers. When I spoke up about the overwhelming workload for just $13.50 an hour, I was told we all have responsibilities and just need to deal with it. Well, I won't be doing all of that for such little pay. Goodbye!
We visit this place almost every day; it is what it is. While it may not be the best gas station, they do offer pizza and coffee. It would definitely help to have an additional cashier in the mornings to improve efficiency. Also, there seems to be quite a bit of trash around the property.
The drinks are rarely restocked, and new inventory is often left in boxes blocking the aisles. The credit card payment system is the slowest I've ever experienced at any store. However, the staff's lack of attention is the biggest issue. Even with over ten people waiting in line, only one cashier is working, while other employees are in the back office, distracted by their phones and joking around. They'll come out to see the long line only to retreat back into the office or step outside for a smoke. This place desperately needs a major management overhaul and some serious customer service training for its employees.
Wow. So many good reviews, but I ordered a specialty pizza and HALF of the toppings had slid off the crust.
Only because you can't give 0 Stars and leave a review! They have terrible employees, smells like a sewage tank, and have employees not following health code! Unless you want to wait over 30 mins for gas and a drink because the blonde haired RUDE female behind the counter can't stop talking to her friends and blocking up the only working register. This place needs an overhaul!
