Trattoria Arco Dei Gavi - VERONA

Wonderful spot near the Castelvecchio. We tried a variety of starters and pasta dishes, all of which were quite delicious. We did have order-envy over the hot meat plates, which we could see the servers slicing to order. The wine selection was decent. The atmosphere was very pleasant, and filled with locals as well as a few tourists.

Arrived just after 2.00pm on a Sunday and the place was nicely busy and they found a table for the two of us. Very friendly service. Opted for mixed meats and a walnut, white celery salad for starters. Then had Vitelli tonata and Beef carpaccio. The mixed meats where pretty standard, good but nothing outstanding but the other three dishes were fantastic. The carpaccio, there was so much of it, and it was delicious. The tonata was so fine and covered with lovely sauce and capers. Great to find a place away from the arena and serving good quality, delicious, value for money dishes.

Excellent family run restaurant, serving traditional Italian cuisine, everything is fresh and handmade. The owners are very welcoming and are passionate about their business. Definitely recommend if you're looking for a great place to eat in Verona.

Ottima cucina, piatti tradizionali fatti con attenzione e passione, personale cordiale e preparato. Sicuramente torneremo con piacere. Molto consigliato.

Esperienza fantastica, un live grazie alla signora che era davvero cordiale e gentile. Ottimo cibo, tutti loro produzione, ottimo vino della casa e anche grappe e vari liquori fatti da loro. Per tornare.
