Locanda Al Cova - VERONA

Our first meal on our italian trip of 2 weeks and it ranks as one of the best. we loved our waiter who helped guide us thru the menu. the wine was terrific, we tried a few by the glass. large selection. we would go back again if we return to verona

We’ve been there three times. First time after our late arrival in Verona at 22.45 and were positively surprised. We’ve never had such soft and creamy Gnocchis before and the pulpo was soft fresh. All dishes were made with love. The cook is very creative and the manager recommended a nice and affordable wine. Ok, the prices are may 2-3 Euros higher than the average, but no mainstream as in the arena or Embre area. We would come back, for sure.

Was just about to walk past this small restaurant when we got talking to the front of house staff showed real knowledge of the menu, the cooking and the produce so we were tempted inside. Lovely small interior, nice music and fantastic staff. Initially had a fabulous lunch, with wines suggested by the staff everything was spot on!! So much so, we booked a table for out last night in Verona and had an equally fabulous dinner. Just couldn't fault anything. Well done everyone at Locanda al Cova!!

Beautiful traditional restaurant, the personal was really helpful and friendly. fantastic selection of weeps, and if they don't know what they want, that the waiter choose a beautiful bottle of local wine for us, that went a tasty bite. So if they are looking for something more traditional, this is a good place to eat, great eating and a reservation in advance, as it was very busy in the evening when we went on Saturday.

My daughter and I found this beautiful cosy little restaurant on our way to the bridge. The waiter, Radu, was extremely helpful and friendly and we enjoyed sitting outside next to the plants. The cicchetti were delicious and my gnocchi were good although a bit too much butter. I would definitely go back there again and thank you to Radu for looking after us.
