Penny Hill Subs - Vero Beach

I've been going to this place all my life. I even took my baby there on the way home from the hospital. I probably have kind of a tummy on me because I can't stop eating it. It closed and reopened during Covid and got rid of my favorite sandwich, the Rancher, but they have a great menu otherwise, so there's still lots to choose from. Maybe they surprise me and bring the Rancher back on a special day and they're just holding out to build the tasty anticipation. The other thing is that they are WAY generous with the meat. It'll be hard to eat a large even for big boys like me.

My family and I totally enjoy the subs. We believe the bread makes the difference. Wish I knew where to buy the bread. Not once has anyone complained about the quality of the food. It's always great Basia

As a former resident of New Jersey, I can confidently say that their subs have that comforting taste of home. Their Cuban sandwich is truly exceptional and surpasses any other I’ve tried. If you're focused on healthy eating, they offer incredible salads that are both fresh and satisfying. And for those indulgent moments, their cupcakes are absolutely delightful. Each time you walk in, you're welcomed with warm, friendly smiles. What's not to adore about this place?

This is a lovely, clean restaurant that is family-owned and operated. The staff are friendly and personable, always eager to meet your needs. I ordered an Italian sub, and the quality of the ingredients was exceptional; it took me back to the fantastic Italian subs I used to enjoy in Brooklyn, Queens, and Long Island, NY. I wanted to return to take some photos for my review and sample a different dish from the menu. Unfortunately, every time I attempted to go back, the restaurant was closed. Once, I even called ahead but forgot to check if they would be open until 3 PM. I suspect the hours listed on Google Maps might be incorrect, or they could have limited hours due to Memorial Day week. It would be helpful to have clearer information to prevent others from wasting their time. I would rate it a 4 for this reason, but otherwise, it would definitely be a 5.

Delicious, fresh, and welcoming! Annabelle and her team are cheerful, kind, and attentive! The salads are crisp, the baked goods are irresistibly tasty, and the lamb gyro with creamy tzatziki sauce is incredibly flavorful! This is a fantastic new addition to Miracle Mile!
