Safeway Vernon Square

Terry was so helpful as always, he's always working and being visible to customers who need help. You never feel like an imposition, even when needing to go to the back for extra products. Thanks so much for your great service Terry!

I believe this is the oldest grocery chain in the Vernon area. Safeway has always had a well stocked fruit and vegetable, fresh fruit section and fresh baked in store, bread, and pastry items. Prescriptions, coffee bar, and fresh flowers for occasions.

Yesterday was a nightmare at Safeway. Drove from Salmon Arm wanted to stop for a coffee and breakfast sandwich..Went to the Starbucks inside the store. Ordered coffee and sandwich. Sorry, we don 't do hot food? Go to pay. Till does not work. They call managers. Not just one but over the 5, maybe 8 min. 3 show up all saying its the same problem. No luck with any of them. Then one said in a very rude way. Why don 't you just take your stuff and go through the tills. So I said you 're joking right after waiting this long. The coffee is now going cold. So I said, "Keep it. Then I look behind me only to find out their deli serves hot breakfast. Really poor service and training
