Ricky's All Day Grill - Vernon

Do yourself a favor and don't eat here. Terrible food, sub par service. As an added treat the meal came with a side of food poisoning.

We came for brunch on mothers dayEssentially it was steady, but by no means busy.

So after the old Ricky's shut down a few years back we were excited to see that it had reopened in a new location on Gordon and Harvey.

We arrived before the rush hour of dinner we were seated quickly and had our drinks almost finished by the time the food arrived so I say it was perfect timing no waiting

We were staying in the Best Western Hotel, to which this restaurant is attached, so used it for three breakfasts and two dinners. The experience between breakfast and dinner is marked.Service at breakfast was poor. Generally slow, one morning I stood waving my arms while the serving team had a nice chat at the serving station. Dinner was better with really attentive friendly staff.Food was, at average. Nothing really to complain about, but equally nothing to rave about. An omelette at breakfast was a bit boring and tasteless, St Louis Ribs one night were the end cuts with less meat, but tasty enough, the Radical Cheese and Bacon burger, which I got as a bunless lettuce wrap, was really quite nice. My mum had the Calafornia Chicken burger one night that she just didn't get on with. The chicken breast was overcooked, and avocado was a thin scraping of guacamole on the bun.I'm being picky though, if you just need fuel, it's fine. Just don't expect too much.
