Food was left on the bar for 10 minutes before being served. Waitress was helpful but the manager very rude, perhaps because I am English and my wife German.

My husband and I were in Vernon for the afternoon and stopped by for some lunch. The place is a simple bistro but don't let that deter you. The service was friendly and the food was really good. We started off with a squash soup, had a steak and fries for our main plate. Both very tasty. Steak was tender with an onion and wine sauce. The dessert was a pear tarte which was just ok. Probably would benefit from a glaze or ice cream but tasty nonetheless. We had a carafe of wine and my husband had two beers. Also had coffee. The bill was a total of 44.00 euros. Very reasonable for what you get. Would definitely return if we are in the area again.

Had just been to Monet's Garden at Giverny and had walked back to Vernon. Found this little Brassiere just across from the Hotel de Ville. Good wide variety menu, food was excellent and service was fast and efficent. Had the added bonus of watching a wedding going on over the road.
