Ocean Basket Vereeniging

I don't know who these reviewers are talking about,it cant be Ocean Basket at Waverly Plaza.My wife and I eat there regularly and have never had a bad meal.Their Bassa fish,Hake and other items tried on their menu are always brilliant and service is pretty good.I have never had anyone at any restaurant insist on 30% tip  only in New York.Ocean Basket Waverly is the best one of the Pretoria Ocean Baskets I have eaten at.Dont eat at Queens corner where I have had three bad meals,nor at Qcean basket,Newlands where the Bassa was small old and dry.Also at this outlet they give you an extra sauce to the three normally supplied.Kudos for them.Laurie Ibbitt.

I got exactly what I ordered and it was delicious. This store has recently been revamped and it looks lovely. Service was efficient and fast.

This is my favourite Ocean basket branch by far. The staff is friendly and service is fast and efficient. They have their own chili sauce, which you wouldn't get at any other branch and is delicious. The atmosphere is buzzing, but still warm and comfortable. They also have a special dinner for two with 2 glasses of wine for only R99. Definitely worth a visit!

Like all are equal but some are more equal, this Ocean Basket is the exception. It must be the hospitality of the Moot. The atmosphere is much more authentic and the owner/manager somehow managed to give his shop a distinct feel within the confines of a franchise. The service is always friendly and I've even been served complementary sherry in the winter months.<br/ <br/ Visited again! Still the best!<br/ <br/ I've frequented them when I crave a fish and chips fix and I can recommend asking for their special peri peri sauce (only available here).

Food was fresh and tasty. Our Carafe drink didn't have enough alcohol but the kitchen crew rectified this promptly. Service was on point. Great laid back place to have food and chill as a family.
