La Esquina - Veracruz

Este restaurante se encuentra en la Plaza Pulpo, donde hay una variedad de restaurantes diferentes. Sin embargo, este en particular ofrece comida muy buena, preparada de forma higiénica. Según la dueña, la receta ha sido transmitida en su familia. El plato principal, Cochinita Pibil, es típico de Mérida (en la Península de Yucatán), pero lo han adaptado a Veracruz con algunas modificaciones interesantes. Sirven una combinación entre Tortas ahogadas de Guadalajara y Tacos de Cochinita Pibil que es excelente. Además, hacen un tamal de Cochinita Pibil delicioso. La atención es estupenda, el dueño siempre está presente y el servicio es muy amable. Los precios son económicos, la torta ahogada cuesta alrededor de 4 dólares y quedarás satisfecho. En general, mi impresión fue positiva y la comida estaba deliciosa.

This place is located within the Plaza Pulpo, where one can find a variety of different restaurants. However, this particular one has really good food, prepared in hygienic conditions. Their recipe, as far as the owner told us, has been in her family as far...as she knows. The main dish (Cochinita Pibil) is typical from Merida (in the Yucatan Peninsula), but they have managed to bring it to Veracruz with some interesting modifications. They serve a hybrid between Tortas ahogadas from Guadalajara and Tacos de Cochinita Pibil that is simply great. In addition, they make a Cochinita Pibil tamal that is beyon good. The attention is great, the owner is always around and the service is very friendly. The prices are really good as well, the torta ahogada is about dls and you'll end up satisfied. My overall impression was good and the food was great.
