Contribuiți la feedbackThere are more draft beers available at this location than the downtown Ventura spot, and there is also plenty of space. The atmosphere and location are great, with many spots on the side for quiet conversations. I definitely prefer this location. It could benefit from having more barrels in the yard for resting beers while watching your child play. There is a food truck on site, which is convenient. It's nice to have a place for kids to play, but there are some safety concerns. The sandpit is surrounded by rocks that shift when you stand on them, and the rocks along the path to the food truck are easy for kids to trip on. There seems to be a lot of potential choking hazards and opportunities for injury, but I suppose kids have to learn somehow.
Topa Topa on Colt Street is amazing. The staff is well-trained and always friendly, polite, and gracious. They are doing a fantastic job with their social distancing measures during the pandemic. I definitely feel like they are taking the pandemic seriously. They always have great food trucks. I miss going to the original tasting room spot on East Thompson, but the gracious and welcoming staff on Colt Street have convinced me to make the switch.
This restaurant was a hidden gem on the way through Cali! I have to give a two-part review, starting with the brewery which is a must-visit. The beer selection was excellent and possibly my favorite in Cali. The customer service was fantastic, and they even helped us put together some flights so we could try out different beers. The food truck, SoTruck, exceeded our expectations as well - I would give it 5 stars for the food. The chicken sandwich was perfectly crispy, the fried rice was full of flavor, and the Bao tacos were a unique twist on traditional tacos. The fries were a must-try item as well!
Let me preface by saying that I'm not into beer or the likes but this place was kind of nice. We were here for a private event the grounds were spacious and can accommodate a small group of 50 without cramping. The train tracks are directly behind the property, about every hour or so, you'll hear the train swoosh by. We opted for a sampler with recommendations from the server, they smelled nice unfortunately did not change my mind about beer. The sampler came out to$10.78 4x4oz glasses. You can order food from a truck on site, not much to rave about except they were pricey mole verde fried rice was $15, tasted ok thought it was weird with water chestnut and fries were drenched with buffalo sauce underwhelming if I'm being honest but something to wash down the beer with
Great beer, super friendly staff and a beautiful place to hang out with friends! it was a little cool in the night we stopped, so we got no chance to hang on their grazy terrace area, but it looked nice. so truck was parked in front of location to offer munchies, which was an additional bonus!
