La Padella - Ventnor City

Overall was a nice quiet dinner for the two of us. We split frito misto which was honestly not that good. I had rigatoni bolognese which was excellent and my wife had branzino which she did not like that much. And fish portion was small. Note this is cash only place. But it is BYOB. And the prices in web searches are all wrong. Today they are all about 30% more. Inflation. Has hit big time here. Emilio was an excellent waiter and was the only one working the entire room. Hit or miss on the food. 2 of 4 were great; 2 not so much. Recommend don’t order the salmon. Asked for well done salmon (crusty outside), was served medium-ish, sent it back and the owner actually chided us for requesting it be more well done as originally requested, stating it came out well done the first time. Might want to google images of well done to see that it does have a crusty outsidejust sayin’. Not so much the fact of sending it back but being told it came out well done which it did not. I don’t usually do restaurant reviews but our experience at La Padella’s was excellent ! The food was excellent and our server Elena was even better!! Hands down the best server I ever encountered! Was working the entire room solo and was able to be attentive, friendly, and personable to every table in the house! She knocked it out of the park!! Thank you La Padella and Elena for an amazing dinner! Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5

Terrible. the capressi salad was a joke. 5 thin slices of tasteless tomato, 4 thinn slices of cold hard mozzarella and some roasted peppers. a joke. but even worse was the chicken parmigiana. myst meat hard and tasteless. the service wasn't much better.
