Torino - VENEZIA

Sono stato lì 30 anni fa quando è stato gestito da veneziani. Mi hanno detto che tutto era cambiato, ma sono arrivato in tempo per godere della cortesia della nuova gestione. oltre ai magnifici tramezzini mi ha colpito la gentilezza e il desiderio di raccontare con il cliente, merci ora rare in quel tipo di esercizio. come in una macchina del tempo mi sono trovato a mio agio come speravo. Congratulazioni.

More correctly Gran Caffe alla Citta di Torino, we came in here for a final farewell lunch, having surrendered our room and with a few hours before getting alilaguna to the airport. Run of the mill Italian cafe on San Marco, nice and bright with curtain walling glazing to two sides looking onto the little square. Nice tuna fish and capers pizza, served lunch time, would have been better as ever with a Peroni or Moretti but as I had to drive after our flight home this was not an option. Very 'budget ' for Venice, would not og oput my way but as we plan to revisit the locale (same hotel) wold be an option for a drink snack or quick bite.

We stopped here for a margarita pizza. Some restaurants in Italy offer pizza that seems to have been microwaved--the bread is spongy, and the cheese is little spots on top. This is one of those. My cappuccino was delicious, but the pizza was mediocre. When we first went in, the waiter was standing facing me, but ignored me for 30 seconds--he just stood there. Weird! If you are desperate, it is food, but there are so many better options.

Walking the streets, we needed a drink and a rest. we stopped here and ordered coffee's and cannoli. The coffees came right away, we waited and waited and had to remind them of the cannolis. Service was not the best, as one would think having to cater to tourists they would provide service, so this was so so, nothing special.

Mi trovavo in visita a Venezia e decisi io e mio marito di fermarmi al Bar Torino in Campo San Luca.Dal cambio gestione oggi in titolarità di ANGELA è cambiato sia il servizio che i piatti. Eccellente pesce!Servizio cortese e veloce. Un piacevole pranzo.Ne vale assolutamente la pena.Tornata il giorno dopo per la colazione e stessa ottima impressione.
