Contribuiți la feedbackThis restaurant is run by a husband, wife and their son who are absolutely charming. The room is delightfully decorated and has a lovely atmosphere. The menu is limited but is some the best food I have every tasted.
We received a recommendation from a friend to make a dinner booking at Hostaria da Franz when visiting Venice. We were not disappointed. We have been in Italy for 2 weeks and this was the most memorable meal by far. The freshest ingredients presented in beautiful and unique ways. My husband is still talking about the seafood risotto. We hope to visit again for another special meal next time we are in Venice.
The goal is always to provide a service to travelers and help the structure, where you feel useful. Thus, the place is very beautiful, character, on the back of a rather anonymous avenue, like a postcard of epoch, in the background, colored by the lights of the evening, there is the entrance of the obstacle from franz. in four, we booked for the second round, at 21, we were greeted at 21 and 30, we can stay, in the waiting, on the road, would be appreciated an aperitif, that there was, vabbè. small premises, about 30 covers, sophisticated and expensive menus, perhaps because of the event, there is. dishes to the minimum terms, appetizers: variety of raw fish, good, but definitely minimal, beyond the circumstances, cannellini in clam soup, good. first dishes: curlers with anchovies and onion that did not like much, one of us left half, we reported it, too sweet and little cooked onion, the pasta, even if fresh, too soft. very good garusoli ravioli. sweets: two bombmisu, original dark chocolate ball with cream inside of Tiramisù, very good, and two millefoglie, uncomposed, to the pear syrupy, good. a bottle of mud, water. coffee, passito and moscato. we paid the account at 23 and 50, in our opinion to measure, despite the date event, but this is not the point, we knew the menu and its price list, considering the hour however we would have expected a glass of something to celebrate the arrival of the new year, that there was, vabbè. Perhaps the peculiarity of the evening, the delay accumulated in departure, brought the restaurateur to make tourist choices, as of those who know not to be too difficult to pamper his customers, from next 31 December, given his position, he will have to welcome the new ones, or perhaps we were only few lucky. Finally a restaurant that answers everything I look for when I go out to dinner. reception, professionalism, environment, cleaning, raw materials of level and cellar. the elegant and educated owner patiently explains the menu that offers fish dishes. excellent cellar, not huge but essential but not trivial. the room is very beautiful and elegant and all the evening flows ovate with discreet staff but extremely careful without breath on the neck. from aperitif to dessert all perfect, really good, my ideal restaurant, typical cuisine without bold and impeccable service. The food was excellent, wein couples were great, and the service was so friendly and helpful. we really enjoyed our dinner, especially the appetizers (oktober and sardines) and the squid risotto of inkfish. Thank you!
