Handay - VENEZIA

We found this place while strolling back to our apartment after dinner. We were talking about how we wanted some dessert and this place happened to be right in front of us at that moment so we decided to try their gelato and I also had a decaf espresso. It was cosy and a welcome reprieve from the cold. The service was very friendly and welcoming. There’s about 8+ flavours for gelato and many toppings options. You can also get several types of coffee and tea. Haven’t tried their pancakes or waffles so can’t comment on that.

After walking around for hours visiting all the sites, me and my mum decided to finally sit down and snack on something. Unfortunately, there aren't many places that serve coffee and ice cream or cakes to sit down for a reasonable price, so when we stumbled upon this shop we were glad to finally sit down. It was an interesting and fresh concept but the staff weren't as polite and helpful and at a regular shop. The food was of a good standard and the drinks were ok. I would say that it was all a bit over priced but that's Venice I guess. The pancakes were good and sweet. The ice cream was refreshing but not what we would expect if Italy. Overall I would come back to a similar type of shop but they would need to improve on the points that this one missed out on. Fancy mist sprays can't solve all their problems.

Their gelato and yogurt is fresh and organic. We just passed by and came inside. The staffs were really friendly and explained us how to make your own cup. You choose the size and then put as much as you can eat in your cup!!! So we tried almost flavours they had lol. I really like chocolate, yogurt and halzenut. They also had a cold drink with 3 flavours: mint, lemon, and something-i-just-forgot i'm sorry: . It tasted quite fresh especially in hot weather. They provide Free wifi, phone charger. Such a nice place to relax after a long walking day.

Got the breakfast deal here after being drawn in by the fancy signs and mist spray (very welcome and the only reason they get 2 stars). Sadly the food was awfully and the coffee not much better. Overcomplicated with iPads that pump out coffee. Capachino was super sweet. Put it all in the bin and pretended it never happened. McDonald's breakfast would of been better.

Nice idea and a change from the usual gelato in the area. Nice and clean, friendly staff. Found it by accident but well worth finding.
