Contribuiți la feedbackThis tiny restaurant was our welcome dinner in Venice. Reservations are a must--5 or 6 tables all sharing the space with the kitchen. We ordered the prix fixe dinner and accompanying wine flight. It was 310 Euros for four of us. There are only two seatings a night. I would tell you about all the details but chances are you will get a different meal because the menu is totally seasonal. And the descriptions while in perfect English were so detailed I couldn't begin to tell you what they were. But we were served an amuse bouche, appetizer, primi, secondi, pasta dish, dessert, and some cookies with the best dessert wine I've ever tasted (not too sweet). The sommelier/waiter/owner? was a great character and made us feel at home. Our waitress was also a delight. And when we asked her for suggestion to eat and drink in Venice she provided a typed out sheet of recommendations. Venice during the day can be overcrowded and a bit much but once night falls and the town empties some, you can find gems like this. [hidden link]
We came here based on a recommendation from a friend back home and it did not disappoint. The food was beautiful, fresh and bursting with flavour, particularly the Asparagus and baked bolognese dishes. We opted for the wine pairing, which not only complimented each dish perfectly, but some choices caught us by surprise (in the best way possible). Louisa, who looked after our table, was so warm, friendly and engaging. Herself and Andre really made our night. A last little mention for the chefs who seem to work with an almost telepathic connection. We were seated closest to the kitchen (which we loved) and I don't think either of us heard the slightest sound out of the chefs unless it was a shared joke or a moment of positivity between the three of them. If you ever find yourself in Kinsale, Cork... you know where to find us! Good luck in the future with Pietra Rossa!!!
We had such a great time at our dinner here! You'll definitely want a reservation (it's a tiny space! but the whole meal is an experience an worth an evening. We had a great meal, especially the baked pasta dish.
We have the luck to have gedinted in covino since they opened a few years ago. we returned in December and were blown away from the culinary delights in the small open kitchen and from the always amazing treatment of the owner andrea. it's a very tiny room, so they have to keep up. they are always busy, thankful! we always look at the menu and then we tell Andrea that he feeds us what the cooks want to cook for us. we had another surprise menu and it was so fresh and delicious. the weeping will be selected according to the choice of food, and you will never be demolished by serving with the most expensive weeping on their extensive list. this is a fun place to be and they want to enjoy every morsel. we tried to make a reservation during our two-week holiday, but they were booked for lunch and dinner. our loss, but so happy that they continue to find success! highly recommended. Oh, and the place is immaculate. we saw them clean the kitchen area, etc. when we were the last to leave. we're coming back!
