Our Daily Bread Catering - Veneta

One of my favorite places in the Southern Willamette Valley. If anyone is visiting from out of town and we have time? This is on the short list of 2-3 places I will try to take them. Especially if we can get into the bakery next door. OMG, the cookies and macaroons and carbs of the best kinds in the bakery...... But the restaurant is fantabulous. Super great staff. Great interior. Fine food, generous servings, well-plated. And one more thing! I am told by a friend who is an expresso aficionado that they expresso is the best he has had.

First, they provided real high chairs with trays, which significantly helped my son eat more. Our server was incredibly attentive and went above and beyond. She seated us in a round booth, allowing our little one to move around comfortably between my husband and me. She also brought crayons to keep him entertained. Notably, she found a more affordable way to order the 15 sides I had requested and brought my son a fun little drink (mostly water) along with some oranges for him to snack on when she delivered our drinks. My husband enjoyed the wet breakfast burrito, while I had the focaccia sandwich (as I always do), accompanied by a Chai Toddy and some boozy coffee. Everything was delicious! I hadn't been to this place in years, and it certainly exceeded my expectations! The sandwiches are made with freshly baked bread and high-quality ingredients, and the service was quick and friendly, all set in a charming former church building. Every table features live potted plants, adding to the cozy atmosphere. I enjoyed a refreshing glass of freshly brewed iced tea along with the Feather Bender sandwich and a side salad. They serve breakfast all day, have seafood options, a full bar, and great espresso drinks.

The food is outstanding, and the service is fantastic. The atmosphere is really nice for both family gatherings and intimate dinners for two. I’ve enjoyed dining in and have also ordered take-out multiple times. Their breakfast menu is my favorite and never lets me down! They bake all their bread fresh daily and always use fresh ingredients. What more could you ask for?

Friendly service, however they seemed to be a little understaffed. I was there for dinner and we waited 20 min. After being seated. They took our drink order then came back 5 min later to ask what we had ordered to drink. I had ordered medium rare steak, my steak was medium well when it arrived. Sides were baked potato and vegetables. I had to ask for butter with my potato and no other toppings for potato. I get it, sometimes restaurants have an off day but for the prices they charged I would expect the food to be better than mediocre. I probably won't go back. I've heard their breakfast is good. But not sure I want to chance it since they are a bit pricier than most places.
