Ctr Ambasmestas - Vega de Valcarce

Adoré, fui muy bien recibida, con mucho confort, un buen ambiente, calentito y buena comida. Todo un 5.

Fatal. No nos dieron de comer a las 3:30 a pesar de que la cocina cerraba a las 4. ¡Se nota que las que atienden en la barra solo piensan en su horario de cierre! Hemos recorrido más de 300 km y en ningún lugar nos han tratado tan mal. Recomiendo seguir adelante y llegar hasta la cafetería-minisupermercado El Barullo, saliendo del pueblo, donde una chica muy amable nos atendió, a diferencia de la camarera rubia que nos sirvió. Mi peor experiencia en todo el camino.

Top quality and portions in the 3course (3choice) pilgrims meal incl wine and coffee. Nice service and surroundings with proper knapkins. 10euro. Recommend the pea&seafood soup starter and rabbit main course. Highly recommended. The bar is good as well.

This restaurant and bar are part of the Hotel and provided nice drinks and food service. We had sangria that was hand mixed as a pre-dinner drink in the bar. The friendly locals also frequented the bar which added to it's atmosphere. For dinner we had the Pilgrims Menu which offered a great selection of meals for €10. The same wait staff were used in the bar and the restaurant but were friendly and helpful.

There is really only one place to eat if you are staying in Ambasmestas, whether or not you are in the hotel where this restaurant is found. The service was superb and my colleague said that it was the best steak he had ever eaten. The food was very well prepared and very well presented. For a starter we chose the mixed meats platter and this had an excellent choice of cooked meats. The main Course followed swiftly and again was just fabulous. The dessert was an joy although by ten we were full!!
