Quaint little place in Tudes. We were doing the usual hiking routes in the area and came across this hidden treasure. Staff is helpful and with a bit of effort and a lot of hand gesturing, you will be able to attain information of the sites and activities off the beaten path. Food is excellent, organic, fresh, local and cooked to order. The smells of the landscape mixed with the spices of the Cocido evoke simpler times. But with WiFi. A rustic source of food, conversation and local secrets that will steer you away from the leaflet and into the true Spanish culture of the area.
We stayed across the road in their accommodation and were expecting to eat out elsewhere as Tudes is a very small hillside hamlet. However, the service, food and value at la Taberna Del Ingles were so surprisingly good that we ate here several times more than expected! The menu is fairly simple home cooked Spanish fayre but excellently prepared, generous portions and extremely tasty. Pizza was surprisingly excellent as well. A great place for a meal out or a drink at the end of a walk or for a mid point refreshment.
We fell by chance at this restaurant bar and, in fact, it couldn't be better. We ate on the terrace, with spectacular views. The cooked levaniego was very rich, and also the only ring of the cow. The boy who attended us was charming and the atmosphere of the bar, very familiar and very nice. To repeat insurance!
We made the route of the pots south and stopped there to eat a super rich and lovingly cooked lebaniego. the environment is familiar, the treatment very personal and we will definitely come back.
