Zi Nicola is one of the most popular restaurant in the area. Opened in 1981, it 's renowned for his Brodetto (fish soup with tomatoes . The restaurant is nested in a cliff by the sea: the view is astonishing. Eating fish and hearing waves lapping the beach worth a visit. Restaurant and management seem to live still in the early 80s: a vague service and not so trained waiters (screaming at each other this isn 't the right table for those people will disappoint your dinner. We went for a Brodetto but the superficial waiter asked us Have you booked for it? We booked a table. We didn 't expect to book a dish by phone... I 'm sorry, no brodetto for you . Other things on the menu were missing too. We finally got antipasto and mixed grilled fish: the quality was ok but it tasted regular. The bill wasn 't very expensive. This restaurant has a great location but its best is yet to come.
Great food, barely found the place, just followed a road sign, leaving Vasto towards the north... got a great recommendation from a local couple who was just leaving the restaurant, so we stayed. Both of ate more than enough sea food and pasta, cold beers, bill came to €40. Hospitality was warm and the view out to sea priceless!
We were the only ones here for lunch on a cold Feb day but the views were still great and the food is very good. My wife had found this location by accident before and we were lucky to find it again on a trip down the A14. The service is prompt and friendly. We had the antipasto misto, one order was abundant for 2 people. We both had primi which were also a good size. The food was all hot, fresh and flavorful. We would stop here again when in the area.
