Contribuiți la feedbackI am in love with their baked scones and savory baked goods.
These guys also run Snap Dragon so they offer similarly delicious bread and baked goods. They offer coffees etc in the AM and are close to the ferry. We went in the early evening and had beer, wine and appetizers. The view is beautiful and the inside is quirky, welcoming, and relaxed. We’ll definitely be back. We are house hunting on Vashon and hope Snapdragon and Wild Mermaid keep doing what they are doing! We love them
I have been here a few times now and each visit is better than the last. That doesn't mean that my prior visits were lacking...they have each been great, only more personable the more I visit. Parking is limited, but there is a Park Ride just up the way and a short walk to the lounge. Walk through the main doors of The Wild Mermaid and back to the Seagull lounge. You will find a large wrap around bar that seats around 12. Spirits (limited, but good), wine (3-4 varieties) and beer (6 draft), again, good selection. Service has been amazing each visit. Our first visit (my wife and I), we arrived a bit early hoping to grab a drink before catching the ferry. They weren't quite open in the back, but the bartender offered to pour a beer or wIne since we made the trip in. We sat on the back patio and enjoyed the view and watched the the ferries dock. It was a GREAT 1st impression and that's what keeps us coming back. Saturday evenings (around 7) were bustling with what to seem are locals. Again, welcoming and service top notch! We haven't eaten here, so I cannot speak for the food, but people all around us were eating and ordering more. Again, if you have some time before catching the ferry, or just decide to walk on just to visit this place...(remember, check the hours) its worth it. We will be coming back to this little gem over and over.
Wonderful people, excellent food and the best location in Puget Sound.
Rip Off! Center city Seattle prices on Vashon Island, why? Just wanted a quick drink while awaiting the ferry and a miniature whiskey (no special brand, i.e. $25 for fifth retail cost $12!!! Totally out of line. While the location has always been good, the new ownership seemed more interested in themselves than the customers who were coming in....give us back the down to earth Mexican with reasonable prices. Been an island frequenter for multiple generations so no newby negativity here, just a reality check.
