Amarillo Tikkurila - Vantaa

First for all: Thank you for Heidi and Abad for great service. This one star is because of them. Food was terrible at this restaurant. Please avoid chicken and all sauces. Sauces were so thin that you can eat those only with a straw. Vegetables were raw. Chicken was pale, but dry. We both had poor dinner. I had to change my portion to another. Price was high anyway (100€ . I don’t know if food was directed by S-group, but this was worst dinner at long time for us. Forget Tex-Mex in here. There is much better places near.

We had dinner here while staying at Sokos Hotel Vantaa. This restaurant belongs to the hotel. The overall appearance of this restaurant is outdated and dull as the whole hotel except our refurbished room. The service was friendly. We ordered Texas grill steak and Salmon Scampi. Both were quite average in taste.

Food is avarage, they considered allergies very well, points for that because they changed the food function. Hamburgers were dry and fries too. Avarage burger meals. Atmosphare was ok, service quite interesting, they wanished and the table were in bad place for see anybody from aroun the corner. Dessert chocolate cake was dry and didn't taste good. Cheescake was good. Place was almost full at the moment. One thing was weird that people eat their own food at the restaurant.

This chain offers mexican dishes. Prices are high, as these are situated downtown, in the hotels usually. But the food was good, tasty. It was a Saturday night when we went and quite a few loud customers were giving us a headache.. but what can you do.. Decor the usual, staff busy as usual..

Amarillo is a reataurant chain in Finland, and this was not as good as the other ones I have visited. Food was was ok but not more. The staff was not rude but not very friendly either. If you are staying in the Sokos hotel in the same building and lazy to go elsewhere, this is fine, but otherwise I would probably try some other place...
