El Toro Mexican Grill - Vandalia

I have visited all of the El Toro Mexican restaurants in the Dayton area. My family and I love going on Taco Tuesday for dinner and also for lunch during the week. However, we only go to this particular location for dinner because it's a 30-minute drive from our house. You may wonder why we would make the effort to come here for dollar tacos, but it's because of the amazing staff, generous portions, and high quality of the food. Every time we visit, they consistently deliver top-notch products. I can't say the same for their other locations. The Cantarito drink is also exceptional and reminds me of the ones I enjoyed in Mexico. My only complaint is that I wish I worked closer so I could try their lunch menu during the week. I have tried the locations near the Dayton Mall and in Bellbrook for lunch, and Bellbrook is definitely the better choice. But for dinner, we are willing to make the 30-minute drive. We even pass two other El Toro restaurants on our way to this location. I don't want to discredit the other locations, but this one has become our favorite thanks to the fantastic staff and the warm hospitality we always receive.

I recently celebrated my dear friend's 40th anniversary at this restaurant with a party of over 30 people. The service was exceptional, the food was delicious, and we had a great time. The staff and owner were incredibly friendly. I will definitely be returning and will be recommending this restaurant to all of my friends. It was a fantastic experience!

Oh my goodness! Absolutely fantastic! The food was amazing and the margaritas were delicious. The restaurant was very clean, and I was impressed to see the waitress vacuuming when customers left. Great job, El Toro! You guys are awesome.

Interior does not match the run down vibe of the plaza. We received our food very quickly. Service was top notch. Portions were generous.

They were definitely having an off night as the chips were stale. I told our waiter he said that's all they had and the food was not hot. I don't understand this is usually one of the best Mexican restaurants around
